About The Crafted Furniture

The Crafted Furniture helps you buy furniture that lasts. We publish plain-English buying guides and how-to articles about coffee tables, TV stands, bed frames, nightstands, entryway benches and bookshelves, with a focus on solid wood and honest construction details.

Why this site exists

Furniture listings are hard to compare. One “wood” table is solid oak, another is a paper-thin print over particleboard, and both photos look the same. We started The Crafted Furniture to cut through that: we read the fine print so you know what you are actually buying before it arrives in a box.

How we research furniture

We want to be completely transparent about our method. We do not run a test lab and we do not claim to have personally tested the products we feature. Instead, every recommendation is built from:

  • Materials and construction: solid wood vs. engineered wood, veneer, joinery, slat systems and hardware, as stated by the manufacturer.
  • Dimensions and fit: real measurements checked against standard room, sofa, bed and TV sizes.
  • Weight ratings and safety: listed capacities, anti-tip hardware and stability features.
  • Warranty and support: what the brand actually promises if something goes wrong.
  • General furniture knowledge: how different woods wear, dent, warp and age in real homes.

When a listing doesn’t publish an important spec, we say so instead of guessing. When a product uses MDF or particleboard, we tell you plainly, even if we still recommend it for the price.

Who writes our guides

The Crafted Furniture is run by Jomir, founder and editor. Every guide is researched, written and updated with one goal: help you choose the right piece the first time.
